What is establishment?
VZ describes establishment for other foreign nationals as permanent residence or residence for an indefinite period. According to the VZ overview page, this route is intended for other foreign nationals who have had their legal main residence in Suriname for five years.
What do you need?
- Residence permits covering the past five years
- A valid residence permit that is still valid for at least three months
- Request form (and where relevant the minor-children form)
- Passport
- Legalised birth certificate and civil-status documents
- CBB registration declaration
- Proof of means of support
As proof of means of support, the VZ list mentions among others: an employer's statement with work permit, a business or shop licence, KKF and tax proof for a business without licence obligation, or proof of pension.
How do you submit the application?
According to the old VZ instructions, you will immediately see a registration confirmation on screen, receive an e-mail within 24 hours and be asked to respond to that confirmation e-mail within 48 hours. To be confirmed by VZ
