What is this application?
This application is intended for the category other foreign nationals submitting a first application for residence in Suriname. The VZ overview page describes a residence of up to two years.
Before you start
First check the official document list for your application type on the page Document lists. The general VZ instructions show that you should take into account, among other things:
- Valid passport
- Legalised birth certificate and other relevant legalised civil-status documents
- Proof of means of support / source of income
- Health insurance
- Application or request form, where applicable
Official foreign documents not drawn up in Dutch or English must, according to the VZ instructions, be accompanied by a legalised translation by a sworn translator. Read more at Translating, legalising and scanning documents.
How do you submit the application?
According to the old VZ instructions, you will immediately see a registration confirmation on screen, receive an e-mail within 24 hours and be asked to respond to that confirmation e-mail within 48 hours. To be confirmed by VZ
